What Makes Sleepout® Blackout Different?

Sleepout® Blackout Fabric is certified safe and blocks 100% of light.

Other so-called "blackout" fabrics usually only block 70-80% of light or use a chemical film that off-gasses chemical odors when in direct sunlight.

Use Included Suction Cups to Install in Seconds

  • 1. Lock the suction cups onto the top corners of the window.

  • 2. Pull the curtain taut between the suction cups and attach it using the Velcro.

  • 3. Cover the glass with the curtain and tuck it inwards.

Fit Guide

  • Easily adjusts to fit different sized windows.

    Each Sleepout Portable panel is 64” x 40”. Thanks to our patented suction cup design, you can easily adjust to fit larger or smaller windows.

  • Single Pane Windows

    Two suction cups in the top corners, and you're all set! The cups are sloped towards the windowframe at the top to prevent light gaps.

  • Double Pane & Sliding Windows

    We recommend purchasing an extra pair of suction cups to keep the curtain tight to the glass around the middle windowpane.

  • Wide Windows

    The Sleepout Curtain installs horiztonally or vertically. Two cups will work — or for extra large windows, an extra cup in the middle will help provide extra support or combine two Sleepout panels.

  • Bay Windows & Shapes

    Sleepout works on bay windows & round windows, too! We recommend extra suction cups to keep the curtain tight to the glass.

How does it work?

Sleepout Portable uses patented locking suction technology that allows it to stay up on any window as long as you want.

The suction cups attach anywhere along the edge of the curtain, allowing you to find the perfect fit.

We use the highest-quality 100% blackout fabric that is lightweight, easy to install and easy to adjust.

Is it machine washable?

Yes! Machine wash on delicate cycle with cold water and mild detergent. Machine dry on delicate cycle or hang to dry with the lighter side up on a rounded line.

How do I travel with Sleepout Portable?

Sleepout comes with a handy carrying bag! The kit weighs less than 2 lbs, so it's as easy to pack.

Can I install them vertically and horizontally?

Yes! There is velcro around all edges so you can install the Sleepout Portable both ways.

Does it work with Blinds?

Yes! Simply install the Sleepout Portable behind your blinds, between the blinds and the glass of your window to block out light.
