This is a great blackout curtain, but I wish it came in different lengths. I am about a foot short on a French door
The material is 100% blackout. These drapes make the room much much darker. However if you aren’t sticking something directly to your window you cannot fully black it out. Light still gets in from the sides and top.

Yes! We suggest using a Sleepout Portable Blackout Curtain to get more darkness behind the blackout curtains, and using our adjustable rod to make the sure the curtains are as close as possible to the wall.
Really loving the sleep out curtains! Easy set up with the embedded Velcro on the edges of the curtain, then the suction cup with corresponding Velcro to secure the curtain to the window. Love mine so much I’ve already purchased more!
Easy and its really dark at our apartment and when we move we can just take it out and put in another window just like that no hustle

I love that it completely darkens the room but can be removed so easily. It allows me to switch from daylight to the perfect environment for a nap for my daughter in seconds!
As a day sleeper, this is a total game change I can finally sleep and not be bothered by the light coming through my bedroom window and he keeps my bedroom much cooler. You can definitely feel the difference. Excellent when I have my migraines a nice cool pitch black room.

I'm grateful that the suction cups were redesigned. Fantastic customer service bc they sent me some right away when I asked. Now I don't have to keep putting the sleep out portable curtain back up each nap and bedtime. Some light will seep around the edges of the portable curtains, but it's much better than just doing blackout curtains. I would suggest getting both and then using light weight blankets on top, and then pressing your curtains to the wall with furniture. That'll get it pretty dark!
Put this up in my daughter’s room. She is 9 months old and keeps waking up early in the morning at sunrise. This has helped extend her night time sleep and given me back so sanity.
These need to be a few inches longer, the light comes in at the bottom of my windows.
