High Quality product

This is a really nice curtain and easy to hang on the window with the large suction cups.

bought 2 more

Had 1 portable curtain for my baby's room and it was perfect. Kept it nice and dark during day naps and blocked outdoor lighting at night time. We have since moved and his new room has 2 large windows, one of which faces my neighbors' very sensitive sensored FLOOD LIGHT! I bought 2 more right away, 1 for his second window and one more for our room because I enjoy pitch black darkness for sleep as well. Seems expensive off the bat, but they truly block out light, unlike "traditional" hanging black out curtains. Worth every penny once you put them to use. Thanks!

Happy with the purchase, complete black out

How much is an extra hour of sleep worth?

Studies have shown that moving to daylight savings time in March (losing an hour) causes a gigantic spike in traffic accidents, heart attacks, mental breakdowns, alongside other health ills. This is just one hour for one day of the year. Imagine a whole year worth of better sleep for you & your family.

Sleepout vs. the rest

Most “blackout” curtains are not truly blackout, they are made with woven fabric that only blocks 75-90% of light. We put typical blackout curtain fabric to the test with a 10,000-lux light therapy lamp. The results are en-lightening 🙂.

  • Easily adjusts to fit different sized windows.

Each Sleepout Portable panel is 52” x 76”. Thanks our patented suction cup design, you can easily adjust to fit larger or smaller windows.

Read on for our fit guide. →

  • Single Pane Windows

Two suction cups in the top corners, and you're all set! The cups are sloped towards the windowframe at the top to prevent light gaps.

  • Double Pane & Sliding Windows

We recommend purchasing an extra pair of suction cups to keep the curtain tight to the glass around the middle windowpane.

  • Wide Windows

The Sleepout Curtain installs horiztonally or vertically. Two cups will work — or for extra large windows, an extra cup in the middle will help provide extra support or combine two Sleepout panels.

  • Bay Windows & Shapes

Sleepout works on bay windows & shaped windows, too! We recommend extra suction cups to keep the curtain tight to the glass. For extra coverage, you can use Sleepout Strips to help close any light gaps.

  • French Doors & Glass Doors

Our suction cups work on more than windows! Ensure you are trying to attach the suction cups to a smooth, non-porous surface and Sleepout can help block light from wherever it comes in!

FAQ

How does it work?

Sleepout Portable uses patented locking suction technology that allows it to stay up on any window as long as you want.

The suction cups attach anywhere along the top of the curtain, allowing you to find the perfect fit, and comes with clever material along the perimeter to lie flush with your window and seal out the light that would usually come in from around the sides.

We use the highest-quality 100% blackout fabric that is lightweight, easy to install and easy to adjust.

Is it machine washable?

You bet! No worries about thrills, spills, or anything else. Life happens! Sleepout is easy to care for.

Machine wash on delicate cycle with cold water and mild detergent. Machine dry on delicate cycle or hang to dry with the lighter side up on a rounded line.

How do I travel with Sleepout Portable?

That's the fun part! Most sleep products are great for home use - Sleepout is too! - but unfortunately you can't bring your mattress with you to your grandma's.

Sleepout folds up to be the size of a paperback book. Plus it comes with a handy carrying bag! The kit weighs less than 2 lbs, so it's as easy to pack as your favourite t-shirt.

Can I install them vertically and horizontally?

Yep! There are fastener strips on the long and short ends so you can install the Sleepout Portable both ways.

Does it work with Blinds?

Yes! Simply install the Sleepout Portable behind your blinds, between the blinds and the glass of your window to totally block out any light.
